Refrigeration mechanic

Job description

Axis is looking for apprentice or master refrigeration mechanic to expand its family on our projects in the Greater Montreal Region and Quebec City Region

By working with us, you will be assigned to certain construction sites where we work in collaboration with our customers, you will be responsible for the execution of refrigeration mechanic work for commercial, institutional and industrial projects.

Responsabilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or other specifications;
• Measure and determine benchmarks for installation;
• Assemble and install, using hand or power tools, refrigeration or air conditioning components, such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulation pumps, condensers, humidifiers,
• evaporators and compressors;
• Measure and cut pipes and connect them using welding and brazing equipment;
• Install, modify and repair complete heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems for buildings, and investigate the causes of problems;
• Putting installations into operation and subjecting them to leak tests using test equipment
• Refill facilities with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate systems and perform routine maintenance and service;
• Repair and replace parts and components of complete refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation installations;
• Establish, if necessary, estimates for customers.
